The new Apple iMac

It was a great idea then, and it’s a great idea now. The all-in-one design of the first flat-panel iMac cleaned up the desktop. It put everything you need — display, processor, graphics card, hard drive, optical drive, memory, and more — inside one simple enclosure. New technology inside and out makes the new iMac a worthy addition to the all-in-one dynasty.

The new Apple MacBook

A mere 1.08 inches thin and even lighter at 4.7 pounds,1 the sleek new MacBook cuts a slim profile on any desk (or in any backpack or briefcase). It features a new seamless, more durable unibody enclosure with rounded contours that make it easy to pick up and slide into and out of your bag. And it’s made of rugged polycarbonate that withstands the rough and tumble of everyday life — at school, at work, or while traveling. Even the bottom of the new MacBook feels different. Covering its entire surface is a nonslip material that keeps your MacBook right where you put it, whether on a desk, table, or airplane tray.

The Apple Magic Mouse

It began with iPhone. Then came iPod touch. Then MacBook Pro. Intuitive, smart, dynamic. Multi-Touch technology introduced a remarkably better way to interact with your portable devices — all using gestures. Now we’ve reached another milestone by bringing gestures to the desktop with a mouse that’s unlike anything ever before. It’s called Magic Mouse. It’s the world’s first Multi-Touch mouse. And while it comes standard with every new iMac, you can also add it to any Bluetooth-enabled Mac for a Multi-Touch makeover.

The 12 contenders on BBC2’s Design for Life applaud rapturously. If this was The Apprentice – the long-running reality show on which Design for Life has been closely modelled – you could imagine the no-nonsense entrepreneur Sir Alan Sugar scowling at this kind of toadying. But this isn’t Sralan, it’s Fleep, and Fleep laps it up…

The Bergmönch backpack bike

The Bergmoench is an unusual bike design by Koga which can be folded into a backpack. The bike is designed to be compact and lightweight for climbing hills and mountains. The vehicle can be unfolded into a bike at the top and ridden down the hill. The bike doesn’t have pedals, relying on the slope of the hill to propel the rider. It also doesn’t have a seat, but does have foot rests and brakes. The idea is users will climb a hill and roll down on the bike in a more upright position. The attached backpack even has space for other things like a helmet and food.

Grandmother’s chair by H220430 studio

This chair is inspired and dedicated to every chair which lies in our grandmother’s house. An antique chair with the attractive silhouette despite its age, however, it has a handicap.
