Located in historic Greenwich Village in Manhattan and bordered by 8th and Greenwich Avenues to the west and southwest, One Jackson Square is a 35-unit luxury residential development with a street level retail component that responds in dramatic fashion to its celebrated locale.

House of the artist Jonny Detiger in New York

When a talented artist selects a unique architect to construct his private residence while he designs custom and monumental items for the interior, the outcome is nothing less than spectacular. In this case the private residence belongs to the artist Jonny Detiger and the architect is Markus Dochantschi (studioMDA). This project does not fall short of high expectations.

Cloud Chair by Richard Hutten

Dutch designer Richard Hutten will launch the aluminium Cloud Chair in Milan next month. The chair, of polished, nickel-plated cast aluminium, will be produced in a limited edition by Ormond Editions of Geneva.

Philippe Starck for Driade at Milan Design Week 09

Philippe Starck together with Eugeni Quitllet have designed a collection of furniture for Driade. The chairs and couch; ‘Ring’, and ‘Out/In’ are made with various plastics suitable for both indoors and outdoors. They will be launched at the Milan Design Week 09.

Boffi Bathroom – new Sabbia by Naoto Fukasawa and B-14 by Norbert Wangen bathrooms

Proving there’s no need to over-complicate – the minimalist Sabbia bathroom and the B-14 bathroom are both new from Boffi. The international flair of their designers, Naoto Fukasawa and Norbert Wangen, brings a fresh perspective to the Italian bathroom experts, Boffi. The B-14 by Norbert Wangen (above) is a stripped-down bathroom furniture system that is free from handles, and instead favours integrated hand grips.

Matali Crasset, Inga Sempe, BIG-GAME for Moustache at Milan Design Week 09

French company Moustache will launch their new collection of furniture at the Milan Design Week 09. For their collection, Moustache called on designers Matali Crasset, Big-game, Ana Mir and Emili padros, Ich & Kar, François Azambourg and Inga Sempé and entrusted them with creating one or more objects with distinct uses to try to cover the main household.

Digital Memories from Bisazza by Tord Bontje

In Milan next month, Bisazza will be launching the Digital Memories collection of three cabinets designed by Tord Boontje. Volume Gamma above is one of the storage units inspired by the shapes and colours of nature.

Totally inspired by John Lautner’s villa Chemosphere, this modern version of a spaceship house is simply fantastic. The only difference is that John’s version was stationary and this one’s a trailer. The beauty of this house-on-wheels lies in the fact that its compact and yet boats of ample living quarters. You will find a bathroom, living room, bedroom, kitchen and an office in the 252° Living Area: Mobile Mini House.
